CSIT Week 2005

Posted by Prince Ryann in

While I was organizing pictures in my computer, I was joking to a friend that in the future, people may get me as resource person to talk about the history of the College of Science and Information Technology in Ateneo de Zamboanga University.

CSIT was established in 2005. Its first dean is Engr. Steve Dimaguila who happens to be a good mentor of mine. During Sir Steve's leadership, I was assigned to moderate the studet organization. During that year, we pioneered the CSIT Week which was then copied by other colleges.

When we started CSIT Week, the President of the student organization was Edon Bacongallo. It was quite a challenge for him and the officers to pull off the said event given the limited resources and preparation. I was amazed with their group as they were able to gather students from different courses. Here are some of the memories captured during that week.

I organized similar activity before when I was still in college. I dubbed it also, CSIT Week but it stands for Computer Science and IT Week. Great event!
